Dave Coulier is celebrating a remarkable medical comeback that's inspiring millions. The beloved Full House star has just announced he's officially in remission from tongue cancer - just two months after his diagnosis and one year after beating Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
"Both cancers are now in remission. What an incredible journey this has been," Coulier revealed during an emotional interview on Good Morning America. "It's definitely been a wild ride."
The 66-year-old comedian discovered he had P16 squamous carcinoma at the base of his tongue during a routine PET scan in October - completely unrelated to his previous lymphoma battle. "I asked the doctors if this was related to the lymphoma, and they said, 'Completely unrelated,'" Coulier explained.

Coulier underwent 35 radiation treatments, finishing just before the new year. "Radiation has completely different side effects. It can take away parts of your life, psychologically, emotionally, and physically," he told fellow cancer survivor Robin Roberts. "But I wasn't going to let cancer do that. I decided to laugh my way through it and keep my loved ones close. That really helps."
The actor credits his hilarious support system for keeping his spirits high. His wife Melissa was "incredible through all of this," while Full House co-star John Stamos flew to Michigan wearing a bald cap that left Coulier "on the floor laughing." Stamos even caught COVID during the visit, leading to the two friends communicating with walkie-talkies like "two fifth-graders."
Now cancer-free twice over, Coulier has become an unexpected but powerful advocate for early detection. "I never wanted to be the face of cancer, honestly. But now I feel I can encourage people to get those prostate exams and mammograms," he said. "Even though I'm in remission, cancer always feels like it's in the rear-view mirror, trying to catch up. So early detection is absolutely crucial."
Coulier's story of beating two unrelated cancers in two years - with laughter and love as his weapons - is already going viral as one of the most inspiring health comebacks of the year.
