Hollywood's most famous family just dropped a bombshell about their new horror-comedy—and it's not what you'd expect from a movie called 'Family Movie.'

In an exclusive Zoom interview with TheEntBase, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick revealed they never planned to make a film with their real-life kids, Sosie and Travis Bacon. "We pitched it thinking they'd say no," Sedgwick confessed. "When they actually said yes, I was shocked. Who wants to work with their parents?"

Premiering March 13 at SXSW, this meta horror-comedy—written by Dan Beers—features the Bacons playing a dysfunctional movie-making family. Kevin's character is a washed-up indie horror director, Kyra plays his wife with a dark secret, Sosie is their actress daughter hiding career plans, and Travis is a musician-turned-boom operator with MMA dreams.

But here's the twist: Sosie Bacon admitted she was "terrified" to work with her parents. "We all expected tensions and arguments on set," she said. "Instead, it was the opposite—zero tension, total collaboration. It was magical."

Travis Bacon, the least experienced actor in the family, faced his own fears. "I was nervous," he admitted. "But everyone's voice was heard—it felt like magic." Sosie praised her brother's resilience: "He accepted notes like a pro. I wouldn't have handled it as well!"

The film's plot mirrors real-life anxieties: a family struggling to make one last movie, only to discover Kyra's character has a killer secret. Yet off-screen, the Bacons proved that sometimes, family projects can be surprisingly harmonious—even in horror.
