Winnie the Bish just pulled off the most Winston Bishop move ever—and New Girl fans are losing their minds. Eight years after the beloved sitcom ended, Lamorne Morris has officially asked his on-screen partner Nasim Pedrad on a real-life date in the most chaotic, hilarious way possible.
During a live recording of his podcast, Morris decided to shoot his shot with Pedrad—who played Aly Nelson, Winston's quirky LAPD partner-turned-wife on the show—while she was on the phone. "I'm just gonna date Nasim in real life," he declared, holding his phone up to the microphone. "So what's up?"

What followed was a hilariously awkward exchange that had podcast co-host Hannah Simone (who played Cece on New Girl) cheering them on. "Everybody's been wanting this!" Simone exclaimed. "Everybody's been shipping this for a long time."
The conversation unfolded like a real-life rom-com script:
Morris: "Not a date. More like let's just be boyfriend-girlfriend." (Laughing)
Pedrad: "You wanna jump to the end?"
Simone: "Ask her out on a date!"
After some back-and-forth about whether their previous hangouts were "dates or friendship hangs," Morris finally sealed the deal: "So yeah, I'm gonna ask you on a date. I don't know when. I ain't got the time. But I will make the time."
Pedrad's response? "I'm down. Let's go on a date."

Morris immediately started planning: "This time I'm gonna have a rose. I'm gonna wear some spicy cologne." But Pedrad couldn't resist teasing him about his dating app adventures: "Oh my God, are you gonna talk to me about the girls you met on Raya? 'Cause that's a huge part of our relationship right now."
Simone summed up the entire interaction perfectly: "You two really need to date 'cause that was literally the worst way to ask a woman out on a date, and you still somehow got a date. That's magic."
The internet is already buzzing with excitement. New Girl fans who've been shipping "Winston and Aly" since 2015 are celebrating what feels like a real-life fairy tale continuation of their favorite TV couple. Social media is flooded with reactions, memes, and demands for updates on their first date.
Will this podcast proposal turn into an actual romance? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: Winston Bishop's chaotic energy has never been more charming.
