Hollywood's most anticipated passion project is finally unmasking its secrets. Lily Collins, the Emily in Paris star who's been haunting Instagram with Audrey Hepburn comparisons for years, has officially won the role she's been chasing for nearly a decade—portraying the legendary actress in a film that exposes the explosive creation of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This isn't just another biopic. The film adapts Sam Wasson's explosive tell-all Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M., revealing how Truman Capote wanted Marilyn Monroe instead of Hepburn, the on-set wars between director Blake Edwards and costume designer Edith Head, and the shocking betrayal that almost derailed cinema's most iconic romantic comedy.

Collins' obsession runs deep. For ten years, she's been developing this project through her company Case Study Films, collaborating with Imagine Entertainment (A Beautiful Mind) and assembling a powerhouse team including producer Scott LaStaiti and Dickinson creator Alena Smith, who penned the screenplay.

"After almost ten years of work and a lifelong admiration for Audrey, I'm thrilled to finally share this," Collins confessed on Instagram. "Words like honored and ecstatic barely capture my feelings..." Her social media has been a shrine to Hepburn for years, with side-by-side photos highlighting their uncanny resemblance that fans have dubbed "spooky."

The film promises to unpack why Breakfast at Tiffany's—added to the U.S. National Film Registry in 2012—nearly collapsed before becoming a cultural landmark. From Capote's fury over Hepburn's casting to the behind-the-scenes tensions that simmered alongside George Peppard and Mickey Rooney's performances, this is the untold story that rewrites Hollywood history.

With producers Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Justin Wilkes from Imagine Entertainment, plus executive producers Sam Wasson and Michael Shamberg, this project has become Hollywood's worst-kept secret. Now, as Collins steps into Hepburn's iconic shoes, the world will finally see the chaos behind the elegance.
