Pixar's woodland rebellion adventure Hoppers has delivered a stunning comeback for the animation giant, dominating the weekend box office with a $46 million domestic opening and $88 million internationally. This marks Pixar's strongest debut in years, signaling a potential turnaround after a series of disappointing releases like Soul and Elio.

In stark contrast, Warner Bros.' arthouse horror film The Bride! suffered a catastrophic failure, earning just $7.2 million domestically and $13.5 million overseas. The film's $80-90 million budget, combined with extensive marketing costs, has resulted in massive losses for the studio, especially as it faces an impending acquisition by Paramount.

The failure of The Bride! breaks Warner Bros.' recent winning streak, which included blockbusters like Barbie, A Minecraft Movie, and Superman. Meanwhile, Hoppers continues Pixar's legacy of family-friendly hits, featuring voice talents like Jon Hamm and Kathy Najimy.

Other films in the top five include the animated sports comedy GOAT and the romantic drama Wuthering Heights, both holding strong in their fourth weeks. Next weekend, Hoppers will face competition from A24's horror film Undertone and the Colleen Hoover adaptation Reminders of Him.
