The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has issued a stern rebuke following allegations that a security guard shoved 2026 Best Supporting Actress nominee Teyana Taylor inside the Dolby Theatre after Sunday's Oscars ceremony. In a statement obtained by TheEntBase, Academy officials expressed being "extremely upset" upon learning of the incident from a viral social media video.

"We have worked with Teyana over the last several months during awards season, and she has been nothing short of remarkable, supportive, kind, and all about community," the Academy stated. "Though the incident was with our outside security firm SIS, the experience of every single guest is our responsibility. We have made it clear to them that this behavior is not acceptable."

The Academy concluded by thanking Taylor for her "remarkable grace" and confirming they're "taking the appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again." Security Industry Specialists, Inc. (SIS) also addressed the conflict, calling it "incidental contact" during efforts to manage crowded areas and ensure guest safety.

In footage circulating online, Taylor can be heard confronting an off-camera individual: "You're a man putting your hands on a female. You're very rude. Very rude." Despite the incident, Taylor later told TMZ that "it's all good" and explained she doesn't "tolerate disrespect — especially when it's unwarranted and unprovoked."

The incident has sparked discussions about security protocols at major Hollywood events, with both the Academy and SIS pledging internal reviews to prevent future occurrences.
